Justice Department Recovers Over $3Billion from False Claims Act Cases in 2019

The Justice Department recently announced that in fiscal year 2019 it returned $3 Billion to the government coffers as a result of fraud cases brought by brave whistleblowers.  The False Claims Act is benefitting all tax payers.  It is serving its important role of reigning in the rampant fraud that greedy fraudsters are inflicting on our country.  It’s a long process to bring all of the fraud under control, but as the DOJ has announced here all of our collective hard work is paying off.  So far, since the 1986 changes have strengthened the False Claims Act, the federal government has recovered $62 Billion!  Let’s all keep up the good fight.
